A storm system that brought snow, mixed precipitation, and ice is now pulling northward into Atlantic Canada. This is contributing to strong winds, which will persist throughout the week but gradually ease by midweek. Overall, the week is expected to remain colder than usual, with no major storms anticipated.
On Thursday, a new system is expected to develop in the Southeast. This system will track along and off the Mid-Atlantic coast. Significant snowfall is forecast for Delaware and Virginia, with lesser amounts further north toward Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. I will have more on this system later in the week.
